Stephen King, Owner / Lead Designer
Specializing in contemporary and modern styles, Stephen King has created award-winning kitchen designs that have been featured in magazines locally, nationally and internationally. His commitment to providing personalized service ensures his firm meets the luxury lifestyle needs of his clients.
A graduate of Roger Williams University, a renowned architectural school, Stephen purchased the Greenwich, CT design studio in 2002. Less than four years later he expanded the business by opening a second showroom in historic South Norwalk. As the owner and lead designer, Stephen is involved in all aspects of every client project from conception through completion.
Stephen has an extensive background in remodeling and construction, having worked in various trades such as carpentry, electrical and plumbing. In addition, he is a licensed home improvement contractor in CT & NY. He applies this contracting knowledge to his designs, thus avoiding many of the pitfalls and mistakes made by designers who don’t understand how things are built. This approach results in designs that are visually stimulating and impactful, yet practical and obtainable.
A Westport, CT native, Stephen is active with the Westport Arts Center, Fairfield County Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Association and the New Canaan Historical Society, and has sponsored various fund-raisers and charity events with those organizations.
